From all the time I have spent in the forest. I thought I knew it well.
Your pictures give me an insight into the world right under our feet.

Artist Statement
Mia believes there is potential in the microscopic to reawaken us and bring us face to face with something we too often forget: that life on this earth is full of wonder, full of mystery. Her hope is that her work will help the viewer become re-enchanted by the truly marvellous in the everyday. She is inspired by the delicate details that reside in the groves, gardens and architectures of the smallest corners of our world. She often chooses to work with botanical specimens that are in the process of decay because especially in their passage through death, they lead to regeneration, new beginnings, and exhibit extraordinary beauty.
